Natasha Thahane Reveals Break Up with Thembinkosi Lorch

Actress Natasha Thahane has announced that she and footballer Thembinkosi Lorch are parting ways.

“A brief update: Thembinkosi Lorch and I have mutually decided to part ways romantically. Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents,” Thahane said in a statement released via Instagram today, Monday 19 February.

“I am looking forward to this new chapter of my life,” the 28-year-old “Skeem Saam” star added before quickly turning off the comments when speculation about their break up began to overtake the post.

The former couple share a one-year-old son. However, it hasn’t been a simple journey for the two.

Lorch was found guilty of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in June last year after an incident with his ex-girlfriend, Nokuphiwa Mathithibala. The 30-year-old midfielder was handed both a suspended jail sentence and a fine of R100 000 for his actions.

At the time, Lorch was signed with Orlando Pirates, but the club elected to suspend him following the verdict. By January, he had moved on to greener pastures and joined Mamelodi Sundowns.
